Breedekloof has
roots dating back to the French Huguenots who arrived in the Cape in
1688 bringing with them a winemaking heritage and know-how that began
in France. Since their arrival and the first grape harvest witnessed
by Jan Van Riebeeck in 1639, the Western Cape has become renowned for
superb wines. A combination of the Mediterranean climate, rich terroir
and skilled winemakers, have put the area on the map for producing award-winning
wines. |
