Tradouw
• Seven Falls
• Misty Point
The names of our three wine ranges, all landmarks in the area, reflect
our love for Barrydale. On your way here you probably passed some of them,
so why not stop at the cellar and get better acquainted?
Tradouw
wines - Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and
Merlot - have the added distinction of being wines of origin. Our guess
is that, at 15 x 3 km, the Tradouw is one of the smallest certified areas.
Thanks to the cool valley climate, vineyards in the valley can ripen at
their leisure and develop juicy, succulent grapes.
Seven
Falls and Misty Point wines are as refreshing as their names. Seven Falls
combines the best of every vintage in two popular blends, one a Chardonnay
Sauvignon Blanc and the other a Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon. Misty Point
Red and White are equally easy-drinking dry blends.

Joseph Barry Cape Potstill Brandy
• Barry & Nephews Muscat d'Alexandrie Potstill Brandy
The Barry
name of the cellar's potstill brandies is firmly rooted in the
history of Barrydale, both named for the town's founder, Joseph
Barry. We like to believe that our potstill brandies have the
same character and innovative spirit of this legendary trader
and merchant.
The
five-year-old Joseph Barry, a blend of St Emillion and Colombar,
has the warm aromas and taste of banana, dried peach, pear and a
hint of vanilla. Its younger cousin, the three-year-old Barry &
Nephews Muscat Potstill Brandy, has a delicate, amber colour and
the distinct aroma of Muscat followed by delicate, lingering Muscat
with a hint of oak to temper the sweet.
