Activities

Cherry Picking: (back to top)

November to December is cherry time, so do come and visit us and "pick-your-own" cherries.
You are welcome to spend the day here and have a picnic or braai in the shade. We are open from 8 am to 4.30 pm all 7 days a week until the end of December but will be closed on Christmas Day.
The entry fee is only R10 per person and the price for the fruit that you pick will be R20-00 per kg.

Please note that we do not have credit card facilities.

Bring a warm top or jacket with you as some days can be quite chilly up here. Remember to bring plastic ice-cream containers or cardboard beer trays to put your cherries into as they bruise easily if carried in plastic shopping bags.

For further information please telephone 023 312-2085 between 8 am and 5 pm.

Fishing: (back to top)

  • Bass fishing in farm dam
  • Fly fishing for trout at Lakenvlei Dam for members of the Cape Piscatorial Society.

Directions (back to top)

From Cape-Town and N1: Drive straight through Ceres on the R46. After 12km, turn right at the Lakenvlei Dam / Matroosberg turnoff and continue for 18km until you reach our avenue of tall pine trees.
